Just felt like updating. Things are going fine.
Also I changed the layout of the blog. Just felt like that too.

Here is a new character. She is the “pause fairy” and appears below the status screen, when you pause the game.
She usually says random stuff but can give useful hints, like the one below:

Pause Fairy is really useful.

Hello there. Today is an important day, because it’s been a year since I started developing Moonchild.
Right now I got most of the game done. Some recent achievements include finishing all the costumes and tweaking a lot of little things. Also Javet has been doing an awesome work, the soundtrack is simply amazing in my opinion.

But enough talk, have at you! Here are two screenshots from the beginning of the development, and then a recent screenshot.

I hope this update was enjoyable, haha.

Best… birthday gift… EVER.
Many thanks to my friend PatrĂcia who made this INCREDIBLE fanart.

Well, I took some time to make a little video, and here it is:

I’m sorry about the quality, it looks so unprofessional, haha. At least it shows how the game is, more or so.

Howdy, people who follow this devblog. I’ve come with some news.

First, I fixed a lot of animation-related bugs. I don’t know why, these things are always pursuing me. Our (actually, my) musician, J.W., made a lot of new tracks. Really cool stuff. Moreover, I reduced REMOVED COMPLETELY some slowdown present in various areas (that ironically, affected my PC too).

Because some beta testers complained, I also expanded the game world by a whole lot, and am still doing that. This also made me created some boss battles, 2 new ones.

Aside from that, I improved some graphics. I think images tell everything:

The white rocks have a different texture now and the water is transparent and blue. Cool.

I’ve also added a new equipment… but I don’t want to spoil more than the game is already spoiled. This bit of information was utterly useless and possibly only will drive rage comments against me.

Well, that’s it. This was a long post and the game is coming along quite well…….. I guess. Ciao and please leave a comment!

Maid’s Adventure: A Quest to Clean Every Cave Ever

Just posting this so the blog is updated. The whole Maid’s Adventure thing is a joke, obviously.

There’ll be costumes in the game. This one is the Maid Outfit. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do, hah.

I just finished a new enemy recently, so I’m posting some information regarding it.

New enemy
Basically it’s this big guy.

It’s one of the strongest enemies you’ll ever find, possibly. If it notices you, prepare to dodge some beams or you’re screwed.

Attack
This confusing screenshot shows it launching its attack towards me.

In case you are hit, don’t worry. There’s a way to defeat this anomaly of enemy.
The attack will hit either you or some wall. If it hits a wall, it’ll split in 2 or 3 smaller orbs that fall and luckly won’t hit you.

Orbs

The main attack splits in smaller orbs that fall to the end of the screen.

Well, that’s it. I hope you enjoyed the update.

First of all, sorry for the lack of updates. Things have been hard recently. Real life troubles, programming troubles and site handling troubles (maybe someone who visits this devblog noticed a weird template recently, I’ve fixed it _i think_).

Not the time to talk about this now, though.

The game has progressed very little in July (just so I don’t say “NOTHING WAS DONE”) but major things were done recently. New areas and enemies; fixed lots of bugs and came up with new ideas. Ah, implemented music. Well, so-so. After lots of hardwork I’m definetely getting there.

Well, I was planning on updating with enemy information today, but some minor things got in the way. Oh well.

A new demo has been posted with the changes I told you guys on the previous post. Nothing new appears aside from an equipment menu that has no use right now.
My musician is back at working on tracks so the next demos should have music on it, finally.

Also, this:

News from the demo:

-Crouching is no more toogable, you need to hold down

-Changed some enemies attacks and locations

-Changed a bit the game over screen, now you can go back to save point

-Added a 3-attack combo while in “melee mode”, if you press X 3 times you use 3 different attacks.

-Added a hint to the “coffee puzzle” so less people get stuck

-I noticed someone had a problem with the ESP quest, but I just got one complaint so i’ll need further investigation on that matter

More news and an updated demo later tonight maybe tomorrow.
